Spent an hour this afternoon in a follow up interview with a very nice Canadian journalist, talking about the follies of transhumanism, singularitarianism, techno-immortalism and the rest. I hope something good and substantial comes of it. I used to turn down interview requests flat, but this year I've changed my tune and done a few and so far they've gone reasonably well. It's always a little jarring to discover how different a conversation will seem as recorded from another's perspective, even a sympathetic one. That's a fitting penance to pay for the immodesty of the whole scene at any rate.
