Little things like this give me hope.
These days it feels as if little things are all we have to build hope from, that's for sure -- fossil fuel divestment and white people getting publicly shamed for racist harassment has been all I've been hanging my hat on for months by now. All the critiques of tech and the special election victories are encouraging, too, I must say, but I'm waiting for the big election this November in the States and actual tech regulation or antitrust before I allow myself larger hopes along those lines (as a preview of coming attractions maybe the UK will throw out the Tories and the EU tech regs will bite for real before such things shape up here, here's hoping...)...
