IMDB sez: The major premise of this movie [is] that humans only use a
small percentage of our brains. . .
Rotten Tomatoes sez: A woman. . . transforms into a merciless warrior
evolved beyond human logic.
Hmmm. . . Aren't there cults out there that promise this stuff?

But, you know, William Gibson's new one is due out in
a few months:

And our pal George Dvorsky, over at io9, excitedly reports:
"Over 90% Of Human DNA May Be Completely Worthless"!

Well golly, Batman, we don't need no steenkin' exascale
computers to simulate lowly humans -- just haul out the
old Apple II!
George has been hyperventilating a lot this week:
"How Artificial Superintelligence Will Give Birth To Itself"

Sounds kinky to me. Does that mean the Artificial Intelligence
will have to f. . . Never mind. I think I'll go watch
_Demon Seed_ now.

I daresay he is speaking strictly for himself as usual.
Dear io9,
give Dvorsky his overdue chop and pay the wage to someone who actually knows what they're talking about. Andreadis For Bioscience Columnist!
An excellent sentiment -- although since Athena's writing on technoscience politics, literature, and culture is also usually far better and more memorable than io9's offerings as well, perhaps we should all give io9 the chop and pay a wage to the captain and crew of the Reckless.
Epileptics use a higher percentage of their brains but only some of the time. They don't seem to enjoy the experience though.
