Finished!

With nothing left but plugging in footnotes, the paper weighs in at forty pages. It's the closest I've come to a single, comparatively concise and yet comprehensive formulation of the critique of superlative futurology. Nice to have done that.

Yeah, I'm considering shopping it as a proposal, in fact. It's a form of ambitiousness I find it really hard to sustain, to be honest.
