"Nothing lasts for ever. Even the longest, most glittering
reign must come to an end some day."
-- Francis Urquhart, "House of Cards"
(Opening scene, where he's retiring his office-desktop photo of
newly-ex PM La Maggie.)
Shameless and unclassy.
Thatcher was the last one in the world to pull her punches, and for fans of hers to demand that for her now simply reveals their stupidity and hypocrisy (I mean, of course, again). Thatcher gleefully destroyed countless lives with her ruthless reactionary anti-labor and austerity politics. Everybody dies -- and that means you too l'il Robot Cultist -- and not everybody's death is the occasion for respectful contemplation from their contemporaries. I can see why that simple truth might make you uneasy given the rather hideous white-racist and even monarchist views you've been airing in public places recently, but true it remains. You may be shocked to hear that I don't particularly mind if pampered white boys diddling imaginary toys in plutocratic ploys think me "unclassy." I daresay most of the folks you consider classy are folks I think should be taxed forthwith into harmless quiescent mediocre marginality asap.
