According to the [new Quinnipiac] poll, only 12% of voters consider themselves part of the Tea Party movement, compared to 14% in earlier surveys. Voter favorability of the Tea Party is split 30% to 31%, also down slightly to the lowest score.
Here's hoping their principal impact was to provide primary victories to ill-electable crazies, thus giving Democrats a fighting chance to retain precarious majorities in Congress despite this horrific recession and legislative disappointments exacerbated by historically unprecedented unfathomably irresponsible Republican obstructionism.
