Jerry Brown Finally Breaks the SIlence

Meg Whitman has been flooding California with ads since Spring 2009 in more or less an undisguised effort to buy the State with her personal billions. Lately her ads have been slinging mud endlessly at Brown and meanwhile flinging vacuities about running the State like a business, which is pretty much what all Republicans say when they mean to run government into the ground. I don't really think Californians will fall for that crap again this time around, but Brown has been hoarding his funds for a homestretch battle against Meg's moneybags for so long Whitman has gained a lot of traction in the polls just throwing cash into the silence. I was starting to get nervous, but Brown has released his first ad, and the campaign presumably begin in earnest today at last. The ad isn't a bad beginning in my view, crisp, nicely-paced, upbeat, absolutely no mud (I'm sure that will come soon enough), here's hoping the numbers turn around quickly. California can't afford more years of Republican looting and demolition.
