Former Gov. Jeb Bush announced Tuesday that he won't run for the U.S. Senate in 2010 to replace the retiring Mel Martinez, saying that it was not the right time to return to elected office.
So, does this create a real opportunity for a Democratic Senate pick-up in Florida, or is that wishful thinking? And do we think this makes a Presidential run less or more likely for Daddy's favored son? (I'm inclining to the opinion that this signals Jeb is out for good (and I do mean for good), even if this makes Pepaw Bush cry, Eric's not so sure yet.)
