President-elect Barack Obama has offered the job of surgeon general to Dr. Sanjay Gupta, the neurosurgeon and correspondent for CNN and CBS, according to two sources with knowledge of the situation.
If this is true, here's hoping Dr. Gupta learned something from this exchange with Michael Moore:

I know little of the context, but it seems to me that solely based on the interview BOTH of them should have learned something. You don't cherry-pick figures from different sources if you can help it. "Latest" and "approved by Bush" means little compared to "calculated by the same guy using the same method."
Politically though, I'm all on Moore's side. We have American-like insurances here, and they stink, taxes or no. Precisely for the reasons mr. Moore stated.
