Selling Point

Capitalism exploits everyone and destroys the planet and can't even provide me with Deep Space 9 on blu ray.

More Fool Me Tee Vee here.

Yes let's have ensure to throw away capitalism so we can finally Deep Space Nine on blu ray and maybe a remastered version of Babylon 5 because the CGI is sometimes makes me cringe.

I never could get into Babylon 5 for some reason.

After JMS (creator of Babylon 5) wrote the awful Watchmen prequel comics and said that what he was doing was not theft or anything disrespectful against the original creators, I kinda feel I should hate him. But Babylon 5 still has some of the best characters in sci fi tv. Still I think DS9 is better though. Sisko is the best captain.

Janeway is my favorite captain -- and I am not ashamed so to say! I like about Sisko that, like Janeway's, his captaincy had unexpected tics.

Yeah! I just have not been able to like Voyager because it has incredibly inconsistent writing and looses its awesome premise early on. But I like how since next gen the Star Trek shows tried to be more diverse with its casting and taking more risks with some episodes. I mean it has episodes about terrorism which you could not get today. That was awesome to see as a teenager who was ten when america lost it shit after 9/11.

I find it easy to forgive Voyager its inconsistencies because humans and life seem rife with the same inconsistencies to me. Voyager is the ST franchise with the most characters I care about. As for terrorism, I think Moore's BSG is not only the best *sfnal* response to the ugly bedwetting murderous insanity of America in wartime after 9/11 but probably the most aesthetically successful response, period.

I agree with you about BSG completely and do not think anyone has said it better. I see it as one of the best tv shows of all time.

Star Trek voyager for me is like I said problematic and I have never been able to get past season 4. But to each his own. It is not as bad at least as season 1 and 2 of Enterprise.

season 1 and 2 of... Speak not its name!
