Summer Sum-Up, Something

Today I deliver the last three hour lecture (of eighteen) of my first Berkeley summer intensive -- something of a Socrates versus Jesus grudgematch, with Libanius and St. Augustine on love and on silence -- and Tuesday next week I will deliver the first three hour lecture of my second Berkeley summer intensive -- on fetishism as the interpres-"(code)key" of critical theories as reading methodologies and on the relation of fetishism to facticity and figuration. In the days in between these two events, I'll be grading many final papers and calculating final grades for about thirty students. To sum up: summer teaching is something.
