Bush and Obama both wear ties, too. No difference! Way perspicacious dood, "lol" and, uh, the Iraq everywhere like, such as.

i think you misspelled dude. i had to look up "perspicacious", but now that i have, thanks compliment.

do you think he's wearing the bomber jacket because he withdrew from iraq on the timeline set up by the bush administration before (or b4) they left office? or is it an attempt to tie up the "top-gun-dads" vote?

You seem smart. My going theory is that possibly he was wearing the jacket because it was cold outside, and possibly it has "Air Force One" on it because he's the motherfucking President of the United States. By the way, why are you so skeered to post your snark under your actual name?

it's easier to click anon. but i'll a made up name for you. and, if you look closely at the jacket, it doesn't say prez, but "commander in chief". if you're "motherfucking President of the United States" you can wear any fucking jacket you want, right? so it's interesting that he choose one that labels him not as a civil leader, but as military leader. i guess that's what happens when the war on/of terror never ends.

Well, now, Victor, I certainly sympathize with the thrust of the critique that properly bemoans the increasing identification of the Constitutional Executive with the Commander in Chief and all the anti-democratizing militarization that implies. In the immediate context of an election right here and right now between only two viable candidates the differences between whom make an enormous difference in endlessly many ways, I can't say that I see much point in focusing on one of the places where there isn't much difference between them, tho. As an anti-militarist atheist queer socialist feminist to the left of Obama on most things, it still seems to me indispensable to exhort as many as possible to vote for Obama, to implement the ACA, to save the Supreme Court from anti-abortion zealots, and to take away the capacity of the white-racist patriarchal hyper-plutocratic authoritarian theocratic GOP to claim credit for the real but inadequate recovery we are on the verge of. Best to you, d
