Using Technology to Deepen Democracy, Using Democracy to Ensure Technology Benefits Us All

“How many times do you have to get hit over the head before you figure out who's hitting you?”

That's Harry Truman slapping his forehead in exasperation upon hearing Obama going out of his way to be gracious to the lying incompetent killer clown war criminal George W. Bush in his already infinitely wearying dreary depressing speech tonight.

Not that it scored him any points with Fox News. Not that
anybody would expect it to.

And, of course, immediately after the speech, Fox segued
into Bill O'Reilly, who seemed to think that Obama displayed
insufficient **enthusiasm** for the U.S. adventures in the
Middle East ("I mean, come on, the guy was treated like Elvis
during his campaign!")

I only saw it because I was having Cajun chicken at one
of my usual spots, and **all** my usual spots have Fox News
on (if they don't have sports).

Talk about "infinitely wearying dreary depressing".
I **almost** asked my waitress "Do you really enjoy listening
to this stuff over and over and over again?" But
she probably would have said "Sure, why not?"

To which I'm afraid I don't have a simple answer.
