Release the Kraken!
Eric and I can now be counted upon to say this, loudly, more or less randomly, alone or together, in various rooms of our home, at least several times a day. Never once has it seemed inappropriate, particularly.
Actually, Neeson delivers that line in the exact same way as Treebeard said "Release the river!" in LotR. The Titans remake will be a total chariot wreck, even worse than the original or Troy -- if that's possible. I will be posting on this (as representative of a larger problem) later today.
We're Harryhausen fans in this household, and the ads for the Titans re-make have triggered incessant high-camp outbursts rather like a knee-tap provokes a kick. I strongly suspect you are right about the chariot wreck. Harry Hamlin was the sexiest skirt in smudged lipstick since Karen Black's turn in Airport, and I scarcely expect CGI whizz-bang can compensate for that loss. Why not just re-release the refurbished original, after all? They let Rope and Rear Window out of the tank every generation or so, why not do the same Titans or Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger?
