Baby Jesus Discriminates So You Don't Have To

Ooh, the Gay makes Baby Jesus want to kill so bad!

Raw Story
Homosexuals and transsexuals "will never enter the kingdom of heaven", a leading Roman Catholic cardinal said on Wednesday.

Cardinal Javier Lozano Barragan said that while the Church regarded homosexuality as an "insult to God", this did not justify discrimination against gay and transsexual people.

"Transsexuals and homosexuals will never enter the kingdom of heaven… People are not born homosexual, they become homosexual, for different reasons: education issues or because they did not develop their own identity during adolescence. It may not be their fault, but acting against nature and the dignity of the human body is an insult to God," he said.

Barragan, the retired head of the Vatican's Council for Pastoral Assistance to Health Care Workers, quoted a passage from Paul's epistle to the Romans which speaks of "men committing indecent acts with other men". [And, honestly, what could that possibly mean if it doesn't mean men loving other men, after all? What could be more obvious? --Dale]

"Homosexuality is therefore a sin, but this does not justify any form of discrimination. God alone has the right to judge," the cardinal said, whereupon he added "wink, wink, nudge nudge." (Okay, I added that last part.)

It is true that every time I ejaculate in a gay sort of way I'm insulting the Lord. Good to know He apparently got the message.

The 'kingdom of heaven' sounds like a boring place. This is pretty funny: Maurizio Cattelan's sculpture of the pope knocked down by a meteorite, 'La Nona Ora' ( pic at http://www.orbit.zkm.de/?q=node/44 ). And also this: 'gays can quote the bible too' which you probably know about ( http://slog.thestranger.com/slog/archives/2009/09/18/gay-people-can-quote-the-bible-too#comment-2266320 ).

He's right, of course, though not exactly in the way
he intends.

Indeed, homosexuals and transsexuals will never enter the kingdom
of heaven. Of course (unfortunately?), neither will anybody
else.

It's good to know the Catholic church supports the rights
of gay and transgendered folks to enjoy the legal benefits
of marriage, to adopt children, to have equal access to
housing and employment, and so on.

Good for them! :-/

Ah yes. I suppose a Catholic would reach for a passage
from the New Testament rather than the usual one from
Leviticus. ;->

I quite agree with you, but of course the problem is that even if there is no "Heaven" or "Hell," so many people who do believe this ugly odd thing then go on to agitate and organize to make life Hell here on earth.

In an increasingly gay-accepting world, the Catholic Church's intransigence on sex issues only continues to marginalize them at a time when their influence is waning to insignificance. Good for them!

Love the "maybe before then". Like, come the Singularity?
