How to Account for Today's Steven A Boylin Incident? Option A: Idiot, or Option B: Idiot

It sure looks to me like the personal spokesman for General David Petraeus -- current Commander of the historically unprecedented Iraq debacle -- just sent Glenn Greenwald a crazy petty intimidating embarrassingly dumb e-mail and then petulantly refused to admit it once his hand got caught in the cookie jar.

So, either we discover yet again that the Bush Administration has put an incompetent idiot in an important post because they demand loyalty over competence as evidenced by his writing of the actual letter in the first place; or we discover yet again that the Bush Administration has put an incompetent idiot in an important post because they demand loyalty over competence as evidenced by his subsequent response -- which either demonstrates an unbelievably oafish obnoxious willingness to lie (badly) or an apparent lack of concern that somebody is, on his implausible hastily patched together explanation, posting outrageous e-mails from the account of the personal spokesman for General David G. Petraeus to prominent journalists.
