TechCentralStation is reporting a small planetoid consisting entirely of oil has been discovered in the outer asteroid belt.
The planetoid, dubbed Joy-1, is suspected of being the result of market forces of a now-extinct Jovian civilization. "We suspect that the demand for oil on Jupiter grew so large, and produced so much surplus oil, that they had to dispose of the excess off-planet. Then statists gained power and the Jovians went extinct. Their loss is our gain!" said Astronomical Search Society chief Nick Schulz. "This discovery should keep the market economy in the black for another hundred years, and vindicates the age-old wisdom I have been promulgating for the last several months. We hope it is the first of many extinct civilizations, and as such, it marks the end of globalization, and the start of solarization!"
A mission to the planetoid, led by Dr. Roy Spencer, and to include the entire senior faculty of the Chicago School of Economics, is planned at the earliest possible opportunity.
